We have recently remodeled our technology plan and are now front-runners of educational technology. Kinglee is currently one of the first schools in Zhengzhou to implement the use of iPads and iBooks as learning tools in the classroom. Each student and teacher uses their own iPad as a learning tool through books, collaboration, educational software and academic applications. Students have access to wifi school-wide and during extra study hours in order to gain experience with research and explorative learning.

In addition to classroom technology, Kinglee has also recently implemented several top software programs from around the world. Students and teachers now have daily access to turnitin.com. According to their website, “Turnitin.com is one of the most widely distributed educational applications in the world. Turnitin is used by more than 10,000 institutions in 135 countries to manage the submission, tracking and evaluation of student papers online. Turnitin also offers iThenticate, a plagiarism detection service for commercial markets, and WriteCheck, a suite of formative tools for writers.” This software will help prepare students for modern-day learning while teaching the guidelines for plagiarism prevention.

Even more exciting is the new implementation of PowerSchool. Through PowerSchool, teachers and administrators are now able to track students’ daily grades and progress. In addition to providing the most popular grade book service in the world, PowerSchool provides weekly eligibility checks, historical grades, attendance logs, and communication with parents. With Powergrade, parents of our exchange students will be able to log in and check on their student’s progress and communicate with teachers.

As part of your application packet, please find the technology usage rules and regulations form, which includes a technology contract.
